When and why was the practice founded?
In February of 2024 Dr Manchester became a new owner of a long-standing private dental office in Olympia. The practice was established by Dr. Fitzgerald in 1972, when he retired the second owner of the practice was Dr. Kautsky. Both men had an outstanding reputation in our community. Dr Manchester is the third owner of this dental office. Then a year later in March of 2025, Dr Manchester became the owner of a second practice of Dr. Larry Adams. Dr Adams is the owner and founder of Dental Care by Design. Dr Adams owned his practice for over 40 years and decided to semi-retire to work part-time. Dr Manchester combined both practices and moved into the beautifully built office designed by Dr. Larry Adams.
What is the mission and philosophy of the practice?
The practice mission statement is: To serve our patients by providing exceptional and comfortable dental care and by building lifelong relationships with them. We want our patients to feel in control of their care because we educate our patients about their oral health.
Our mission statement means when people come to us our mission is to deliver them from worries about their oral health conditions.
The practice philosophy is to: Treat everyone with respect, dignity and compassion.
What makes your practice unique compared to others?
We are a private practice and are not part of corporate dentistry. Unlike large corporate organizations we focus on individual patient care, spending a lot of time with each patient and deliver high quality treatments that last for years to come. When you come to our office you will meet familiar faces and know everyone by name just like we will know who you are and know about you and your family.
How does your team work together to provide the best care?
We strive to make you feel like you belong to our dental home. From the very first call to our office to the last treatment visit you will be treated with compassion and respect. We ensure your comfort, and your wishes and concerns are met.
What can new patients expect during their first visit?
During your first visit you will be greeted by our front office staff, they will have you fill out your first time paperwork if you did not do so prior to coming in. We usually encourage you to fill out the necessary forms ahead of time, they will include your personal and insurance information if you have dental insurance. Then you will be greeted by one of our amazing dental assistants and shown into the dental rooms. Necessary x-rays will be taken and we ask you questions about your dental concerns. When the doctor comes in, we already have a good idea about you and your desires. Our thoughtful doctor will perform a thorough examination and gather important information about your health. If time permits, we will do the teeth and gum cleaning on the same day.
How do you ensure patient comfort and ease dental anxiety?
We will make sure that your every visit is met with attentiveness like it is your first time here at our office. We value your time and want to make sure that your health improves by having a regular dental care. If you have dental anxiety, which many people do, we have several modalities that we can offer such as laughing gas or take-by-mouth medication to make your visit as calm and pleasant as possible.
What type of dental services do you offer?
We offer varieties of dental services like different levels of teeth and gum cleanings, teeth whitening procedures, tooth-colored fillings, tooth-colored crowns (dental caps), cosmetic procedures, Invisalign or teeth straightening treatment, extractions, emergency visits.
Where is your practice located?
Our practice is in Corporate Center Loop in Lacey Washington where other medical offices and veterinarian clinics are. Close to Lowes and Starbucks.
What are your office hours?
We work every day, Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
Do you offer flexible scheduling or emergency appointments?
We always have emergency appointments available on the same day. We believe that no one should suffer from pain or anxiety.
Do you accept insurance or other financing options?
We accept Delta Dental Insurance and bill all other insurance for you. We also offer multiple financial options including Care Credit and Lending Club.
